Two regions, one corner.
La Esquina is a family restaurant built on two kitchens. Owner Pedro Cardona Ayala carries the culinary traditions of Michoacán. Chef Sarita brings the southern flavors of Oaxaca.
Between them they have more than 20 years in the Folsom restaurant industry, and this corner of Natoma Street is where they cook it all together: carnitas, pollo en mole, slow-cooked birria, chile relleno with salsa on top Michoacán style, and breakfast every morning from 8.
